No man wants to discuss his prostate, but I’m sharing
my story in the hope it will help others.
I’m
64 years old, and have enjoyed good health with one exception:
I’ve had prostate problems for about 15 years.
After
doing some reading on the subject and answering the questionnaire developed by the American Urological
Association I found I fit into the symptoms of moderate to severe.
This symptom index listed many symptoms which I was experiencing
and which were disrupting my life. These included difficulty in
urination, dribbling, and waking up four or five times every night
for urgent trips to the bathroom. I had tried a variety of other

My problems started after the birth of my third child,
so much so, that at age 35, I had a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior/posterior
repair. The doctor told me that it would probably last 10 years
or so, and he was right.

interfered with my work as a nurse and my social life was also
